Zeliangrong bodies condole demise of leaders

Imphal, January 07 2022:
Zeliangrong Civil Organisations (ZCOs) comprising Zeliangrong Baudi, Zeliangrong Youth Front and Zeliangrong Students' Union expressed deep condolences on the demise of Athuibou Daimai, who passed away at 99 years of age.
A press release issued by ZCOs media and publicity cell stated that Athuibou served as MLA from 1952 to 1967 and was one of the founding members of United Naga Integration Council before serving as the joint secretary of Zeliangrong Union and later as Zeliangrong Union president for two terms.
His demise is a great loss for Zeliangrong community in particular and for the state as whole, the statement said and extended solidarity to grief and sorrow of the bereaved family.
It also prayed for peaceful retreat of the departed soul.
On the other hand, ZU (AMN) and its frontal organisations - Zeliangrong Women Union (ZWU), Kabui Mother's Association Manipur (KAMA), Zeliangrong Football Association (ZFA), Zeliangrong Elder's Forum for Peace Broker (Chagot Phom) and Zeliangrong people living in Assam, Manipur and Nagaland mourned the demise of ZU (AMN) former vice president Dingsung Pamei who breathed his last on Thursday at his Tamenglong town residence.
A press release issued by ZU (AMN) general secretary Pantijai Newmei stated that Dingsung Pamei served as vice president of the Union for one term from 2010-2014 .
ZU (AMN) on behalf of its frontal organisations shared the pain and sorrow of the bereaved family and also extended heartfelt condolences and prayed to Almighty God for his soul to rest in peace.
