Health camp, awareness lecture held

Imphal, December 05 2023:
Security forces of IGAR (South) organised a health check-up cum medical camp at Saibol village in Tengnoupal district on Sunday.
During the medical camp, 155 villagers, including women and children, underwent examinations and received necessary treatments.
The camp placed special emphasis on creating awareness about antenatal care for expecting mothers and paediatric diseases, focusing on preventive measures.
Simultaneously, a comprehensive HIV/AIDS awareness lecture was conducted at S Khollen village in Churachandpur district.
The initiative aimed to enlighten the local community about the gravity of HIV/AIDS issue in society.
The informative session included a detailed discussion on symptoms, causes, and preventive measures associated with HIV/AIDS.
Following the lecture, an interactive session addressed participant queries, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject.
The event saw active participation from local youth and women from S Khollen, Thinkeu, and T Langhoimol villages.
Attendees were acquainted with various health schemes launched by the Government of India concerning the prevention of HIV/AIDS, informed a Statement issued by PRO IGAR (S) .
