Imphal, September 05 2011:
Reacting against the remark of Rajya Sabha MP Rishang Keishing who rejected the creation of Jiribam and Phungyar districts, the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) condemned the former Chief Minister of Manipur for his thinking and attitude.
An official of JDDC said that the creation of Jiribam district was approved by the Delimitation Commission of India.
The only issue is an approval of the state cabinet in the creation of the district.
While terming the remark of the MP as irresponsible, JDDC cautioned Rishang Keishing not to repeat such remark in future.
JDDC demanded the MP to clarify his remark within two days.
If the MP failed to clarify his remark, a public meeting organized by JDDC which is to be held on September 9 will discuss the matter and boycott the MP for his irresponsible remark.
