Bishnupur, November 04 2019: An inaugural function of Thangjing Sindam Shang, a Skill Development Training Centre, under Pradhan Mantri Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) was held at its new office located at the upper floor above SBI Moirang Branch Building in Moirang Philem Leikai during which MLA Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh thrown opened the training centre for public.

Sources said that tailoring skills will be imparted to about 120 women trainees from Moirang kendra which will be divided into four batches.

Besides, the trainees will be made to sit for an examination at the end of the course so that they can apply for Mudra loan after getting the certificate.

The inaugural function was attended by MLA Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh; Chairperson Moirang Municipal Council M Romibala Devi; CEO KB Philantrophy L Manoranjan Singh and CEO MLA office Moirang Ph Nilamani Singh as dignitaries.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA P Sharatchandra Singh said that skill development is important to enhance the income of the country.

He cited the example of the emergence of China as leaders in world economy which is achieved mainly through its skilled workers who can manufacture world class products at cheap rate inviting millions of investment in their country.

He therefore urged all to learn and develop their skills.
