Moreh, June 04 2020: 20 Assam Rifles posted at Khudengthabi along Imphal Moreh road seized around 471 gram of substances suspected to be brown sugar along with the carrier who is identified as Md Amir Hussain, son of Md Fayaz Ahmed of Lilong Haoreibi Turel Ahanbi, reports our correspondent.

Md Amir Hussain, employed with CID Branch, Manipur Police as a Constable, was smuggling the contraband item on a grey coloured Maruti Swift bearing registration number WB-12D-0430 before he was intercepted by the AR, reports our correspondent.

The seized item and the smuggler have been handed over to Moreh police station for further legal actions.
