Imphal, June 04 2015 :
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba has categorically stated that NPF and NSCN -IM worked hand in glove in the ADC election just as Congress party maintained a close nexus with many militant groups presently under SoO pact.
Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office today, Chaoba asked if the State Government has initiated any action against KRA cadres who assaulted a number of villagers in Sadar Hills area for voting in favour of BJP.
Turning to Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, Chaoba went on to ask who should be blamed when the Government has failed miserably in enforcing the rule of law.
The ADC election held on June 1 was neither fair nor free, the BJP leader alleged that Congress party took recourse to excessive use of muscle power and money power apart from taking help from militants presently under SoO pact.
BJP did not take anybody's help and it fought the election in a very fair and transparent manner.
This is known to all the electorates.
While Naga militants campaigned for NPF candidates openly, militant groups under SoO pact threatened BJP candidates from filing nomination papers at the behest of Congress party.
Every one was expecting BJP victory in Purul but the NPF candidate went on to win the seat unchallenged.
This was orchestrated at gun point, alleged Chaoba adding that it was another clear indication of Home Minister Gaikhangam was unable to maintain law and order.
The Deputy Chief Minister should be held responsible for all the cases of abduction, assault and harassment meted out to BJP candidates and their supporters by NSCN-IM cadres and NPF political workers.
But the Government leaders never bothered to visit any of the injured victims who are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
For BJP, the ADC election was a big achievement.
The election proved that BJP is not anti-Christian.
The Congress party's claim to retain power in four ADCs out of the total six implies that they would buy victorious candidate with hefty amounts.
This can be gleaned from the MPCC president's statements.
BJP would definitely win more ADC seats than Congress, Chaoba claimed BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary (administration) L Ashnikumar and secretary media affairs L Basanta demanded repoll in 21/1 polling station of Shingkap DCC where poll percentage recorded 95 per cent on account of alleged poll rigging.
