Imphal, January 03 2018: In order to generate greater awareness on upkeep and maintenance of their vehicles, an awareness workshop for local taxi drivers was conducted by 17 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) at Yaingangpokpi in Ukhrul district today, informed a press release of PRO IGAR (S) .

The lecture was conducted with an aim to educate the Tata Magic drivers on the concept of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of their vehicles.

A total of 25 drivers from neighboring villages attended the workshop wherein they were educated about the basic vehicle maintenance, use of clear fuel and measures to reduce pollution.

The lecture concluded with a vote of thanks given by the Company Commander of Yaingangpokpi post, with a message to comply with the road safety rules, it added.
