63rd Wildlife Week observed

Jiribam, October 02 2018:
Divisional Forest Officer, Jiribam Forest Division Uchathal, has celebrated Wildlife Week at Jiribam Model High School, Jiribam.
Spot painting, quiz and debating competitions marked the celebration.
Class V to VIII students took part in the spot painting competition on the themes- 'A biodiversity park in Jiribam' and 'an orchidarium in Jiribam'.
K Ajay Singh, A Premananda Singh of RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya Jiribam and Ksh Gung of Little Angels English School bagged first, second and third prizes in the competition.
In the quiz competition for Class IX and X students, RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya Jiribam, Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Jiri Public School were adjudged first, second and third positions respectively.
The debating competition was held for Class XI and XII students on the topic "Degradation of Wildlife habitat in Manipur is due to negligence of Government".
Seven students of Jiribam Higher Secondary School took part in the debating competition.
Senior Advocate KB Roy Singh attended as coordinator of the competition while Assistant Professors of Jiri College Dr MS Jamal and L Kaminikanta Singh attended the event as judges.
Daniel Tongbram, Kazia Kamei, M Tomei Meetei were adjudged first, second and third positions respectively.
