Makhan Union expresses disappointment

The Makhan Union, in a statement, has expressed disappointment over the prolonged delay in construction of drains and blind curves along NH-2 between Makhan and Chakumai.
The statement noted that Makhan Union, in December 2018 and January 2019 submitted two letters to the Chief Engineer, PWD urging to take up construction of covered drainage system in the inhabited Makhan areas along the highway namely, Makhan Khuman village, Makhan Centre Bazar and Makhan Tabio village.
The letter also urged to take up the blind corner cutting work along the stretch passing through Makhan area for safe driving, added the statement.
It stated that Makhan Union acknowledges BIPL for stepping in to carry out the improvement work in the said area however slammed the company from the nature of improvement works being initiated.
The Union appealed the authority concerned to seriously consider its proposals submitted earlier.
