IED blast, locals condemn

Kakching, October 01 2019: An IED exploded in front of the Public Physiotherapy Centre, which is located at Kakching Khongnang Mari Phangba College road, at around 12.40 am today.

The centre belongs to one Pukhrambam Angoubi Leima (60) after her husband P Joy passed away and is run by Dr Laishram Preshorjit of Khangabok and one Naorem Nandarani of Kakching Makha Leikai.

After the explosion, Kakching SP Victoria Yengkhom, Additional SP (Law and order) Lunkhomang Haokip, Kakching PS OC Akoijam Premjit as well as forensic science experts team came and inspected the site.

Kakching Municipal Council Ward No 7 Councillor Sandham Premita also arrived at the scene and inspected the site.

On the other hand, condemning the bomb blast, womenfolk of Kakching Khongnang Mari Phangba Leikai staged a sit in protest in the locality today.

They held placards demanding those concerned from carrying out such acts in the future.
