As part of its mass awareness programme, Committee on Covid-19, Manipur (CADA, UPF, NIPCO, AMSU, UPACO, MAPI Council) along with directorate of AYUSH distributed AYUSH-64 tablets, face masks and hand sanitizers to Covid Care Centre, Community Home Isolation Centre, local Covid Task Force, local club and meira paibi groups in different parts of the state on Sunday.
In a release, Committee's media coordinator Geetchandra Mangang informed that the said items were provided to Lanva Covid Care Centre, Churachandpur CHIC; Khangarok Heirok CHIC in Thoubal district; post Covid patients in Nongpok Sanjenbam, Kambongput, Nongpok Sanjenbam in Imphal East district; and Thanga Moirangthem CHIC and Nambol CHIC in Bishnupur district.
During distribution of the items, the Committee interacted with volunteers manning the Covid Care Centre, Community Home Isolation Centre, Local Covid Task Force, local club and meira paibi members so as to understand activities being taken up for containing Covid-19.The committee has so far distributed 4,050 AYUSH-64 tablets to organisations proactively involved in containing the pandemic, the release added.
Meanwhile, in connection with World Scout Scarf Day, Manipur State Bharat Scouts and Guides Covid-19 Task Force team under the aegis of Directorate of Health Services and National Health Mission conducted Covid-19 awareness programme, poster campaign on the pandemic and vaccination and also distributed face masks and sanitizers to Imphal East and Imphal West police personnel.
On the other hand, Covid 19 Second Wave Fighting Task Force BJP Lamlai Mandal chairman Kh Ibomcha distributed ration items to several households in Takhel and Pungdongbam which have been notified as containment zones.
In continuation of assisting Covid-19 affected families in Khurai AC, political activist Khuraijam Ratankumar Singh provided monetary aid to meira paibi members of Covid-19 Tengbang Group of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Ward 4 and 5 on Sunday.
Similarly, Sayon Pvt Industries Ltd chairman cum managing director Mutum Robindro distributed hand sanitizers to volunteers, who assisted in proper conduct of an awareness programme on Covid-19 held at Kiyamba Shanglen, Bishnupur on Sunday.
