District level Science seminar held at Chandel

Imphal, August 31 2013 : The district level National Science seminar on "Water Co-operation: issues and Challenges" for Chandel district was organized by Zonal Education Office, Chandel in collaboration with the Director of Education (S), Govt.of Manipur at the DRDA Training hall located within the DC office complex today.

Eminent Social Worker of Chandel district Ws Kanral Anal, Deputy Commissioner of Chandel T Chittaranjan Singh, I.A.S, and Zonal Education Officer, Chandel F Lalzuithangi graced the inaugural function of the seminar as Chief Guest, Special Guest and the President respectively.

Panel of judges included Senior Science teacher Ratna, Assistant Professor Dr L Sanjay Singh of DM College of Science and Assistant Professor L Ranjit Singh of Imphal College.

In all 31 students from 17 different schools participated in the seminar.

Lh Everhring, a Xth standard student of St Peter's School Monsang Pantha secured first position in the seminar while Ch Stella Aimol, a Xth standard student of St Paul Pallel and Ts Elhring of ACI Lambung secured the second position and the third position respectively.

Accordingly, Lh Everhring and Ch Stella would be representing Chandel district in the state level science seminar.

The Chief Guest and special Guest give away prizes and certificates to the position holders and consolation to all participants.
