5th Mission Nagaland conducted successfully

Imphal, March 31 2012:
The 5th Mission Nagaland to eradicate the problem associated with birth defects of cleft lip and palate were conducted on March 28, 29 and 30 at Oking Hospital, Kohima.
A team of doctors led by Dr Palin Kh, Smile Train Partnered Surgeon, Shija Hospitals, Imphal successfully conducted 21 cleft surgeries free of cost during the camp.
Mission Nagaland has so far completed surgeries of 66 cleft patients in 5 free surgery camps held since September 2011 and given smiles on their faces.
It is estimated that more than 2500 patients are living with the defects in Nagaland.
The Mission Nagaland has appreciated the role of media in making the free surgery camps successful and requests the social workers, church leaders, teachers and politicians to help eradicate the problems of cleft lip and palate.
