Kangpokpi, March 30 2015 :
Hill Districts Private Recognized Schools Association Manipur (HDPRSAM) at a meeting of all private Schools Association Senapati with apex students' body SDSA at Senapati District H/Q lamented that Board of Secondary Eductaion, Manipur (BoSEM) and Government of Manipur have been ignoring the grievances of the Hill District Private Schools despite a memorandum and representation submitted to the BoSEM Chairman and Secretary on November on November 12 .
The association said repeated requests have been made to supply text-books like Elementary Manipuri (Roman Scripts), Oxford Computer Science and other text books not found in the market in Manipur.
However, BoSEM continues to sideline the genuine issues of the Hill Districts Schools, alleged the association.
The issue of imposing late fine for submission and transfer cases has been raised many times with the authorities but there has been no positive response till now, said the association while stressing on the inclusion of Additional English in the BOSEM syllabus for the interest of minority tribes as it has been in the past.
Hill Districts Private Recognized Schools Association Manipur also said that the Principals/Proprietors have no other option but to convene a general Assembly on April 8, 2015 Senapati, Sadar Hills, Chandel, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Churachandpur to decide further course of action.
The association warned that, to pursue value and quality education, the ultimate choice may be for separate Board for the Hills Districts or go to CBSE or ICSE as the Government of Manipur and Board has always turned deaf ears to the grievances and problems faced by the Hill District Schools.
