22 children, 5 adult detected with CHD

Churachandpur, January 30 2018: 22 children along with five adults were detected with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) during a free ECHO heart screening camp conducted at District Hospital Churachandpur today.

Altogether 117 patients, who were short-listed earlier, were examined during the camp held under Rashtriya Bal Swashtya Karyakram (RBSK) and National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS) in collaboration with Manipur Health Foundation and Sky Hospital Imphal.

All 27 patients detected with CHD were advised for Open Heart Surgery and Cardiovascular related operation while children below 18 years will be treated free of cost under RBSK at Sky Hospital.
