Imphal, January 30 2017: A two-day peace rally being organised by Rongmei Luh Phuam, Rani Gaidinliu and Thuicham Resource Centre was flagged off this morning from Rongmei Naga Baptist Church complex.

The rally was flagged off after a prayer solemnized by Pastor of RNBC, Rev Timothy Phaomei.

The rally will pass along Imphal-Jiribam road (National Highway 37) and is expected to reach Jiribam today.

While passing Luangmei Part II, the rallyists will hold talk with the locals, village elders and Pastors of the area before proceeding further .

Speaking to media persons, Panti Golmei, president of Rongmei Lu Phuam said that the peace rally is being organised to spread the message of peace, love and communal harmony amongst the different sections of people in the State in view of the prevailing volatile situation.
