Landslide hits different villages in Senapati

Senapati, July 29 2018:
After the torrential rain occurred on July 24, reports continue to pour in about natural disaster from every part of Senapati district.
In another incident, incessant rain triggered landslides and flash floods wreaking havoc at Ngamju and Ngari Lishang apart from Thiwa and Tinsong Khullen.
At Taevae drain, the landslide from above the road that leads from Ngamju to Kachai were blocked and have flooded paddy fields.
At Ngamju village more than 200 acres of land were flooded and village road was also cut off.
As per the report, Shadaelovie, Zhikhao, Zhikah, and Taivai streams flooded more than 5 households, football playground Church compound, paddy fields while at Ngari Lishang village around 2100 acres were devastated.
The affected area starts from Khongla, Vali, Metipo Luchit, Siitalong Ranliwon.
According to villagers; most of the terraces are completely inundated which has left no standing crops.
