Committee threatens to vandalize sport complex

Imphal, December 28 2013 : Infuriated over failure of maintaining quality in the construction of Youth Hostel and Mini Stadium gallery at Wangjing Kadompokpi despite taking four/five years, Wangjing Kadompokpi Sports Complex Development Committee, Thoubal district has warned that if necessary maintenance works are not taken up within 10 ten days, then the committee along with public of Thoubal district will dismantle the sport complex.

Addressing a press met at Manipur Press Club here today, L Enaomacha, general secretary of the committee informed that while inspecting the sport complex, it was found that the thickness as well as the quality of the steel/iron rod used for the construction of stair has been compromised, thereby leading to formation of cracks at many parts already.

Moreover, the bricks used in the construction works are of poor quality.

He further informed that the matter has already been brought to the notice of Suresh Jain, the contractor from SK Construction agency, but no response has been received so far.
