CCpur, September 26 2019: The JAC against non-completion of development works Churachandpur yesterday struck a deal for resumption of construction works along NH 150 (B) with the contractor concerned, agreeing to wait till tomorrow for resuming the construction activities.

A statement issued by the JAC-ANCDWC said representatives of the sub-contractors have made an appeal to them for extending the deadline which expired on September 25 for two more days.

They have accordingly agreed to wait till September 27 for the workers to return.

The JAC also claimed that it has come to their knowledge that a hefty percentage of the tendered amount was deducted by the Government.

The hefty cut coupled with the JAC's stringent monitoring of quality as per the specification is leaving the sub-contractors in a difficult situation, it said, adding some amount of the deducted percentage though was meant to be the Retention Money that will protect fallout within three years of the work's completion.
