'Repair Shakhi Devi Girls' High School'

Imphal, April 26 2015 : Manipur chapter of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) has called upon the State Government to instruct the responsible authorities to immediately repair the Shakhi Devi Girls' High School, Uripok which had been damaged by the recent cyclonic storm.

On Sunday, NSUI organized a press meet at the school complex during which it was informed that hundreds of students of the school have been skipping classes since the cyclonic storm that swept through the State on April 22 completely blew off its roofs.

Earlier, a joint team of NSUI and State Youth Congress Committee inspected the condition of the school building.

Union president Th Bikram said that now students are not attending classes due to the current condition of the school.

He appealed to the State Government to take immediate steps to repair the school building.
