Financial literary progs held

As a continuous process, State Bank of India, Lead Bank Office organized yet another Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Camp (FLCC) sponsored by NABARD, Manipur Region, under its Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF) at KSO Office, Sugnu Tribal Road, Chandel District on December 20. B.C.Barman, Chief Manager of SBI Lead Bank Office, Imphal; N.Nimai Singh, Manager of Lead Bank, Thoubal, Chandel and Churachandpur and Jodhachandra Lourembam, Field Officer of SBI Chakpikarong Branch were the resource persons from the Bank who conducted the camp during which more than 80 villagers and students participated.
The resource persons from the bank explained the aim and object of holding such type of camps in detailed as well as on the need to open basic savings bank account to get various State Govt./ Central Govt.Social Benefit Schemes.
Various doubts in banking related matters like deposit schemes, credit facilities, mobile banking, internet banking, etc.
were also cleared in the interaction session that followed.
Meanwhile, a day-long financial literacy programme was organized by United Bank of India (UBI), Moirang Branch under the joint aegis of UBI and NABARD at the Common Service Center, Thanga Oinam Leikai in Bishnupur district today.
The programme was attended by Irom Pradipkumar Singh, Chief Manager of UBI as Chief Guest; Ningthoujam Dinesh Singh, Zilla Parishad, Thanga as President while Seekai Singsit, Lead District Manager; Ngairangbam Maniyaima Singh, Branch Manager, UBI, Moirang Branch and Kangbam Joy Singh, Area Co-ordinator BCA/CSP UBI and Allahabad Bank Manipur as Guests of Honour.
