Bishnupur, November 24 2018: Free LPG gas connection were distributed to the beneficiaries of Moirang AC, under the "Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme" initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2016 with the objective to alleviate the physical and mental health of the women in the country, in a simple function organized by MLA office Moirang at Khoyol Keithel Moirang today.

The function was attended by Govt Chief Whip MLA Moirang AC P Sharatchandra Singh, Chairperson Moirang Municipal Council M Romibala Devi, Nominee Councilor K Shyam Singh, Councilor ward no 4 N Ibomcha Singh, pradhans, up-pradhans and members of different Gram Panchayat of Moirang AC as presidium members.

Based on Socio Economic Caste Census 2011, free gas connection were distributed to 300 selected families of Moirang AC holding AAY card and Green card while seven households of Churachandpur district also received the free gas connection through M/S Maibia Gas Distributor Moirang.

Altogether, free gas connection has been provided to 800 families so far in Moirang AC .
