Waree Leeba Festival begins

Lanka (Assam), May 24 2018: Repertory of Waree Leeba, Brahmaputra Valley Assam on Thursday kicked off a 4 day Waree Leeba Festival at Krishna Mandir Mandap in Lanka, Assam.

A total of 13 wareeloi (4 from Manipur and 9 from Assam) are participating in the festival.

Retired teacher Huidrom Dhiren, president of Repertory of Waree Leeba Manipur Konthoujam Kunjo Singh attended the opening ceremony, as presidium members.

Seram Nandakeshor Meetei, Rupananda Gold Medalist spoke at the event about Manipuri Waree Leeba Art.

Konthoujam Mohen Singh of Goranagar, Hojai and Laimayum Suranjoy Sharma of Charangpat, Manipur performed at the opening ceremony.

Various dignitaries and local people attended the opening ceremony of the event.
