Ukhrul, January 24 2021: Ngaworpei Ragui from Awontang, Ukhrul has unanimously been elected as the new president of Hunphun Katamnao Long (HKL) yesterday at Awontang Community Hall, Ukhrul.

The newly elected HKL executive body will run the office for the tenure 2021 to 2023 .

The other office bearers elected are Ningmachan Shingnaisui (Vice president), Zingyo L Shimray, (general secretary), Philasaingayai Kasomwoshi (joint secretary), Mathan Ragui (finance secretary), Ringpha Ragui (games & sports secretary), Ramreinan Kaping (social & culture secretary), HA Pamreingam (publicity & information secretary), Yurreipem Chiphang (election secretary) and Thotdharrin Shingnaisui (education, literary & statistics secretary) .

It might be mentioned that Hunphun has the highest number of students in Ukhrul district.
