Imphal, January 24 2020: A 29 year old man from Takyel Khongbal, Imphal West, who was arrested by police for allegedly raping his own minor daughter, was remanded to judicial custody till February 7 by Special Judge, POCSO, Imphal West, today.

The accused was produced before the Court from Imphal West Women PPS following the completion of 3 days police custody remand, along with a prayer for remanding him in judicial custody for further investigation of the case.

Satisfied with the prayer of the IO, the Court remanded the accused to judicial custody till February 7.It may be mentioned that the accused individual, was arrested on January 21, after a complaint was lodged by his wife before Imphal West Women PS, claiming that he had raped his own daughter who had been staying with him ever since they (the parents) divorced around a year back.
