Imphal, July 23 2024: The Manipuri Meitei-Pangal Social Unification & Upliftment Organisation (MMSUUO) has urged the relevant State Department to take lawful action against individuals spreading hate speech on social media against a particularreligion.

In a release, MMSUUO called for an end to hate speech on social media on religious and communal lines.

It also advocated against demoralizing an entire community based on the action of one individual.

Further, MMSUUO has urged Meitei-Pangals in the State to immediately stop committing anti-social acts and acts which will dishonour their religion.

Those found engaged in anti-social activities will be lawfully reprimanded by MMSUUO with the help of local clubs, meira paibis and Imams, it added.
