Train from Chennai arrives with 1571 on board

Jiribam, May 23 2020: Yet another train carrying Manipuri natives arrived at Jiribam railway station with 1571 passengers on board from Chennai today at about 11.30 am.

On deboarding, all the passengers were thermally screened and strict social distancing was maintained.

First passengers to leave for their district headquarters were passengers from Ukhrul numbering 297 on a bus.

Other passengers also left for their districts accounting for Chandel and Pallel (50), Kamjong (64), Churachandpur and Pherzawl (152), Imphal East (101), Imphal West (178), Kangpokpi (54), Senapati (269), Tamenglong (124), Kakching (30), Thoubal (56), Bishnupur (104) and Noney (56) .
