CDDU condemns alleged sexual assault

CCpur, March 21 2018: The Churachandpur District Disabled Union has condemned the reported abduction and sexual abuse of one of its female members by two unknown persons on the intervening night of March 17 and has termed the action sadistic and inhumane.

The union has demanded adequate compensation for the victim and urged the State Government to take up strong measures to prevent such acts in the future.

The union further expressed its solidarity with the victim and her family.

It added that the victim, barely 19, is a person with a history of dementia (whose mental status is same to that of a child) she should be taken utmost care and not be exploited.

It also appealed the public to assist the law enforcing agencies so that justice is served to the victim.
