Imphal, February 21 2021: HJR Clinic Health Centre was opened at Hatta Telipati road, Imphal East today.

Dr Arun, co-president of Nobel peace prize winner, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, JR Clinic Health Centre managing director Dr Rakib, former Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr Maniruddin Sheikh, senior consultant surgeon Dr Sayed Burhanuddin, senior consultant Obs & Gynae Professor N Jitendra, JR Memorial Trust chairman Alhaj Salaouddin Khan and IDPD (Indian Doctors of Peace and Development) Manipur State president and former Minister Dr Moirangthem Nara attended the inaugural event.

With the IDPD, JR Clinic will provide free OPD services every Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm, said the clinic's managing director Dr Rakib.

The health centre will provide services at a lesser price than other clinics with the aim to medical care access to the poor.

The centre will be expanded later and a paramedical institution may be opened, said Rakib.
