Imphal, July 20 2024: The Ngakraba Leirak Development Association, Chingamathak, in collaboration with the State Malaria Office, Government of Manipur organised an awareness programme on "Water borne diseases" at Ngakraba Mandap today.

It was attended by State Medical Director, Dr Oinam Sanahanbi; State Malaria Officer, Dr S Priyokumar; State Entomologist, Dr Ng Surjata; Medical Officer, Urban Health Centre, Singjamei, Dr Haraba and Ngakraba Leirak Development Association president, Nameirakpam Tomba as presidium members, said a release.

At the event, the dignitaries spoke about the need to increase public awareness about the spread, prevention and treatment of dengue and other water borne diseases.

They also educated the participants about the signs, symptoms, transmission, and prevention of dengue fever.
