AMSU urges Govt teachers

Imphal, March 20 2012: All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged all Government employed lecturers and teachers including that of MU to immediately stop teaching at privately run institutes including coaching centres.

Addressing media persons today at its office, General Secretary of AMSU Dipanjit Ningthoujam lamented that most of the Government teachers and lecturers have taught at private institutes with the sole aim of earning more.

This uncalled for attitude of the teachers has dismayed and dampened the moral of the students studying in government institutes, he said.

Dipanjit said, this trend is nothing but a step towards the ending of government schools and colleges.

Urging the teachers to immediately stop such practice, AMSU also drawn the attention of the Government authority for taking up necessary action against them.
