'Delhi Dharna' participants feted

Coordinating Body of Trade Unions, Manipur (CBTUM) today organised a reception ceremony at Irabat Bhavan for those 'Delhi .
Dharna' participants numbering about 100 people from the State, who took part in the three-day mass protests at Parliament Street, New Delhi against the alleged anti-people policies adopted by the B JP led Government at the Centre.
The mass protests held from November 9 to 11 was participated by lakhs of people including farmers and workers.
The reception ceremony was attended by CBTUM chairman L Sotnkumar; convenor Ksh Shanta; secretary, TUCC Manipur Kh Gyaneshwor and secretary, UTUC Manipur, K Manoj as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Sotinkumar said that a large number of workers and labourers from different parts of the country took part in the sit-in-protest staged near the Parliament.
He said that during the protests, daily wage earners, farmers, students and representatives of trade unions registered their grievances caused by the alleged antipeople policies including demonetisation and GST adopted by the BJP led Government at the Centre.
