Imphal, September 19 2015 : Tamenglong Battalion of Senapati Brigade, under the aegis of Red Shield Division repaired the 12 km long stretch of the Tamenglong�Azuiram road with the help of local people.

The road was closed for the last three months due to multiple landslides.

A defence PRO release said the effort has restored the connectivity of one of the rural villages like Azuiram with the district headquarters Tamenglong.

Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing campaign for Swachh Bharat Mission, Maram Battalion of Senapati Brigade constructed a toilet block at Maram Khullen to provide hygiene and sanitation to residents of the village.

Commandant, Maram Battalion inaugurated the toilet block on 18 September and handed it over to the village authorities.
