Imphal, June 19 2012: United Naga Council(UNC) and All Naga Students' Association, Manipur(ANSAM) have expressed appreciation to the public for their cooperation and solidarity towards making the 48 hours total bandh called by it a successful one.

In a joint statement, the two bodies also congratulated the tribe Hohos, regional organisations and other constituent units of ANSAM for effectively enforcing the total bandh in their respective jurisdictions.

The joint statement also expressed regret over the inconveniences caused in connection with observance of "Father's Day" in churches and families all over the state as well as for other programmes whose schedule coincided with the bandh period.
