Association demands deputation of DC, SDO/BDO

The Kuki Chiefs' Association Tengnoupal district has expressed its dissatisfaction towards the State Government for not deputing a new DC while the existing DC Raghumani Singh has been transferred as Secretary TA & Hills and Special Secretary, Home.
A press release issued by gen secy, KCA Tengnoupal district stated that the association is displeased pertaining to appointment of SDO/BDO Tengnoupal and allocation of district development fund.
It stated that there is often no SDO/ BDO Tengnoupal on regular basis and that all the SDO/BDO till date are in-charge and could not function satisfactorily.
The press statement further claimed that, as per recent fund allocation made by the present State Govt for Development of new districts, newly created districts like Kamjong and Noney are given five crores each whereas Tengnoupal receives only one crore.
KCA Tengnoupal district has demanded immediate appointment of Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal district and SDO/BDO on regular basis at the earliest and also increase the fund allocated for the new district.
It also cautioned that the CSOs of Tengnoupal will launch intense actions/ agitations if no concrete steps are taken up at the earliest while added that the Government will bear all consequences for any unwanted incidents.
