Hojai delegation visits different religious sites

Continuing their trip to different religious and historical sites, the Meetei delegation from Hojai, Assam visited re ligious and historical sites in Imphal East district and offered prayers on Sunday.
According to an AMU-CO functionary, the team visited Ibudhou Marjing site in Heingang, Nong-dam Shanglen Pakhang-ba Lainingkpl at Wakha, Sanamahi Kiyong at Nongmaijing hill, and Kekrupat.
Thoubal Lups of Nong dam Pakhangba and Ima Chingbi Leima accorded the delegation a warm welcome by presenting traditional stoles and hosting a feast.
AMUCO assistant secretary (organisation) Yumkhaibam Inaocha Luwang and AMAWOVA president Y Kunjarani guided the team.
Earlier on Saturday, the team visited Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple located at Haying Khongbal Uphong Yum-pham and offered prayer there.
The Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board members along with religious practitioners and Pena artistes accorded them warm reception with Pena performance.
Several books on religious practices and ritual were also presented to the team by the board.
Senior member of the board Keisham Ibomcha Manga-ng had an interaction with the visiting delegation with the former briefing them about Lainingthou Sanamahi.
Later, the team visited RKCS Art Gallery at Keis-hamthong, Konthoujam Lairembi at Konthoujam Mahatma Seva Ashram and then Thangmeiband Cheiraoching, where they offered tributes to the patriots of Manipur.
AMUCO president Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, executive member Koijam Santosh and AMAWOVA president Y Kunjarani led the team in Saturday's visit.
