One discharged, active cases fall to 3

Imphal, May 17 2022:
With the discharge of one patient from JNIMS, the number of active Covid-19 cases has come down to three on Tuesday even as the state remained free from new cases for the last five days.
Altogether 111 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Tuesday also reported no death cases and the toll remains at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
All the three active cases are in home isolation.
So far, the state has recorded 11,442 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 10 new positive cases while weekly number of new cases is 3 .
The cumulative number of positive cases stands at 1,37,230 (general population - 1,32,216 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,107 (general population - 1,30,100 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) .
The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 86 D-type and 13 B type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2458 vaccine doses administered on Monday taking the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,64,294, out of which 12,17,193 had received second doses and 91,491 had taken precautionary doses.
Data analysed by this daily shows that the test rate has improved to 5,19,344 tests per million population against the national average of 6,00,859 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent and cumulative positivity rate at 8.52 per cent.
