VVF asks for reinstatement of elected Govt

Imphal, February 17 2025: The Village Volunteer Force (VVF) Manipur has asked for election of a new Chief Minister and reinstatement of an elected Government at the earliest.

Speaking to media persons at Canchipur today, VVF Manipur spokesman Yumnam Jiban said that the VVF has been taking active roles in defending innocent people and their properties since the Kukis launched their premeditated aggression on May 3, 2023 .

Absence of an elected Government in the midst of the restive condition prevailing in the State is a matter of grave concern, Jiban said.

Demanding reinstatement of an elected Government at the earliest, Jiban asserted that the people need not be unduly panicky just because President's Rule has been imposed in the State.

All the people must stand united and fight for the integrity of Manipur, he said.
