IGAR (S) nabs UG cadres

Imphal, August 16 2014 : Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of a UG cadre, troops of the 12 BIHAR of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) alongwith a team of Bishnupur Commandos launched a joint operation in general area of Nambol Konkham and apprehended one KYKL cadre on 12 Aug 2014 .

The apprehendee was identified Nameirakpam Bhagerot alias Pamheibal, aged 26 yrs, S/o N Beradhaja Singh, resident of Awang Leikai.

The apprehendee was handed over to the Nambol Police Station.

In another incident, based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of a UG cadre, troops of 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) alongwith a team of Thoubal Police Commandos launched a joint operation and established a vehicle check post at Khongjom market and apprehended two PREPAK (PRO) cadre on 12 Aug 2014.The apprehendees were identified as Khuraijam Shyam Singh alias Mangal Singh, aged 25 yrs, S/o Late Kh Rajendro Singh, resident of Lairen Sajik and Moirangthem Abem Devi alias Nira alias Bandana, aged 23 yrs, D/o M Ramchandra Singh, resident of Nambol Kamong.

One 9mm Pistol (USA made) and six live rounds was recovered from their possession.

The apprehendees alongwith the recovered items have been handed over to the Kakching Police station, according to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S) .
