SSA, RMSA teachers stage sit-in

Imphal, January 16 2020: SSA and RMSA teachers staged a sit in protest in front of the Zonal Education Office at Khoyathong today, decrying the failure of the State Government to fulfil their demands till date.

Speaking to media persons on the sideline of the sit in protest, Joint SSA and RMSA Teachers' Association Manipur executive member Longjam Sushilkumar said that the teachers have been demanding payment off pending salaries, ensuring promotion avenues as well as absorption into the Government Department concerned for a long time now but to no avail.

He conveyed that the SSA and RMSA teachers had suspended their protest in the past following assurance from the Chief Minister, Education Minister and the authorities concerned, but till date, no positive response can be seen.
