Newly elected office bearers of MUSU take oath

After its historic election held on November 12 last, the newly elected office bearers of Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) were administered oath during a ceremony at the Court Room of the university today.
The elected office bearers who were administered oath by Prof HNK Sarma, Vice-Chancellor of MU are Sarangthem David (president); RK Pritamkumar (general secretary); Samurailatpam Nevedasco (finance secretary); Salam Kennedy (cultural secretary) and Ngangom Bidyapati (sports secretary) .
Altogether 32 councilors from different Departments of the university elected from the election were also administered oath together in presence of Prof N Joykumar, Returning Officer of MUSU Election and Patron Members.

In a press meet at Students' Home, MU following the oath taking ceremony; Thokchom Suresh, convener of Manipur University Students' Union Revival Demand Committee (MUSU-RDC) announced that the committee has been dissolved.
He asserted that the decision to dissolve the committee was taken as the demand for revival of MUSU has been fulfilled and exuded confidence that the newly elected office bearers would meet the objectives set by the committee for welfare of the university students.
He expressed gratitude to those who extended support to the committee in its pursuance of demand for revival of MUSU which was the wishes of the university students.
