Kakching, February 15 2020:
Kakching police organised a one-day workshop under the banner "Building a Harmonious Society by Respecting Laws" at Ching-Tam Community Hall Sugnu.
Kakching Police SP, Victoria Yengkhom, and Addl SP (LO) Lukhomang Khongsai attended the function as presidium members.
Several students, elected Members, leaders of different local clubs, CSOs and police personnel from Sugnu also took part in the event.
On the occasion, social scientist Dhanabir Laishram spoke on "Public order and communal harmony:- Laws and role of citizens and media", while TCP Manipur SP, Kh Sharma deliberated on "Traffic Rule:- The backbone of road safety.
Cyber Crime SP, N John; Child Marriage Prohibition Officer incharge Thoubal, Reena Chanu Moirangthem and IUCAW Manipur Addl SP, Rattana Ngasepam commented on "Ethics on role of social media and prevention of cybercrime"; "Child marriage and laws-Awareness and prevention" and "Rise in crime against women in the State" respectively.
Addressing the gathering, SP Victoria Yengkhom stated that every citizen must obey the law and order of the country for peace to prevail in the society.
