Imphal, November 14 2019:
CPI Manipur State Council has opined that organising Sangai Festival by the State Government, by completely sidelining the tense atmosphere prevailing in the State, will not bring any positive results.
A statement issued by the secretary of CPI MSC today appealed to the State Government to first improve the tourism infrastructure first and improve the tense atmosphere in the State before organising such an extravagant festival.
Urging for a Special Assembly Session to be convened first before getting involved in organising a festival, CPI MSC appealed the State Government to ensure a platform for all the MLAs and MPs to pressure the PM and the Union Home Minister from taking any decision concerning the Naga peace talks which will impact Manipur.
On the other hand, it informed that CPI MSC will be organising an alert rally at Thoubal district Kakching Khunou tomorrow at 11 am, under the banner ' We oppose adverse fallout of Naga solution on existing administrative structure of Manipur and Manipuri Nationhood' .
