Biswajit inaugurates Sainik School 45th Athletic Meet

Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh has stated that without discipline, one will not succeed in life.
He was speaking at the inauguration of 4 days long, 45th Annual Athletic Meet 2019 of Sainik School Imphal at Pangei, Imphal East today.
Discipline and punctuality is very important in students' life, he said encouraging the students to maintained discipline in order to achieve their goals in life.
He maintained that Sainik School is one of the most prestigious schools in the State and the objective of the school is to prepare the students to lead as officers in the defence services of the country.
He urged the students to focus on their present time as their vision is going to be their future.
The Minister congratulated 7 students of Class 12, who have cleared preliminary Examination of NDA conducted by UPSC and recalled that Sainik School Imphal had won the prestigious Raksha Mantri Trophy for the year 2010-2011 for sending the largest percentage of cadets amongst all Sainik Schools to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA) .
"As the world is changing very fast, we should work hard to catch up with the going trend.
We should work hard with a sense of Nationalism," he said.
"Our people have the potential in every field and the State is known as the power house of sports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is dreaming of New India by 2022 and without a developed Manipur, it is impossible to have New India by 2022 .
In order to develop the society lets us all work whole heartedly irrespective of our gender," he added.
As a part of the inaugural session of the Athletic Meet, students displayed march past, mass PT session, aerobics, gymnastics etc.
Students also demonstrated neutralization of enemy bunker.
The inaugural session of the athletic meet was attended by staff, students and parents.
