Meitei Baptist Church Chandel receives relief materials

Chandel, October 13 2015: Mission Secretary of Anal Naga Baptist Association (ANBA) Rev Js Shemwar on October 11 handed over apparels as relief materials to District Headquarters Meitei Baptist Church Chandel which has become the first emerging Church of the Meitei Community in Chandel District.

Pastor of the Church Angno, social activist Ps Ngamnung, who is also founder pioneer of the Church assisted in handing over the materials.

Pastor Angno informed that the relief materials in cash and kinds consisting of Phanek, Anal shawls, shirts and trousers worth Rs 77, 000 were donated by Hnahringkhu women society while Ws Binari, wife of Bd Kumthu, Chief of Sinadam village also donated shirts, tops, sweaters, bed-sheets and others worth Rs 15000 .

He said donation was extended as an appreciation towards believers of Meitei Community in Chandel whose new Church building would be inaugurated on October 16, the pastor added.
