BJP to take recourse to legal redress on result 'manipulation'

The State BJP has alleged on Saturday that the final poll result of Irang Part-II DCC was manipulated and announced that the party is approaching the law court for justice .
A press conference was held at BJP office, Nityaipat Chuthek during which Man Bahadur Thapa who contested the ADC polls from the seat and party State secretary Kharga Tamang and vice president I Maniton addressed the media persons.
They condemned the alleged mismanagement of electoral process.
The party leaders and the candidate claimed that the final poll result for the Irang Part-II DCC declared on June 10 was manipulated.
The Returning Officer (RO) initially declared that the BJP candidate Mam Bahadur Thapa had defeated INC candidate Bhumi Prasad Bosnet by a margin of 6 votes.
Man Bahadur Thapa said that when he went to collect the certificate of victory the security forces did not allow him to enter the office and that he was made to wait for about six hours.
"But all in a sudden I was informed that the RO had given the winning certificate to the INC candidate Bhumi Prasad Bosnet," he added.
He said that out of the total number of 3,890 votes, the BJP got 1083, INC secured 1077, NPF bagged 876 and IND obtained 785 at the DCC, and a total of 69 votes were rejected.
"The RO is neglecting the issue despite protest and so we are approaching the law court in the matter to get justice," he said.
