Poknapham editor, TPC reporter selected for Award

Imphal, November 12 2021:
Poknapham editor Aribam Robindro and The People's Chronicle reporter Oinam Mission have been selected for the prestigious Manipur State Journalist Award-2021, presented every year by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) .
The award will be presented on the occasion of National Press Day to be held at the DIPR auditorium on November 16 .
Aribam Robindro will be honoured with the Best Editor Award for his editorial writings on national integration and communal harmony.
Robindro hails from Lamboikhongnangkhong, Imphal West District.
He joined Poknapham on April 4, 1981 as a reporter.
He was also the recipient of the Best Editor Award in 2018.On the other hand, Oinam Mission, who has been selected for conferring the award for his writing in the held of art and culture, is the son of (L) Oinam Ashok of Wangkhei Angom Leikai.
He first joined the local daily Ireibak as a reporter in 2011.He then went on to join The People's Chronicle in 2018 .
In acknowledgement of his efforts to preserve the art and culture of the state as a reporter, Mission was also honoured with an award by Shree Shree Govindajee Nat-Sankirtana, Palace Compound earlier.
In 2020, he bagged the third place in a competition of the 'Save Nambul campaign' organised jointly by State Environment Department and All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) .
