Speeding car kills 6 including a couple

Imphal, November 12 2015:
At least fix persons including a couple have been killed while seven others sustained injuries when a speeding car rammed a group of people who were playing dice games near Babu Keithel, Kiyam Siphai along Imphal-Moreh highway in Thoubal district at around 1.15 am today.
As a group of people was busy playing dice games, a car (Hyundai Santro) speeding towards the North rammed the group and knocked down many of them.
Altogether four people including a couple were killed on the spot while two others succumbed to injuries at the hospital, informed a source.
Md Riaz Khan (28) s/o MV Heidesh Khan of Sora Mayai Leikai who was driving the car was rounded up by people and handed over to police.
It is said that Md Riaz Khan is an army personnel posted at Leimakhong.
However, two other persons who were travelling in the same car managed to flee.
After knocking down the group of people, the Santro car hit another car (Maruti 800) parked nearby as one of its wheels got punctured.
The deceased victims have been identified as Khundongbam Babu (61) s/o late Sakton, his wife Khundongbam (O) Tombi (49), Sinam (O) Ekashini (47) w/o Oken, Maimom Sunil (47) s/o late Ibobi, Mutum Manihar (53) s/o Madhana and Akoijam Bablu (19) s/o late Loken.
All of them belonged to Kiyam Siphai, Babu Keithel.
While the first four were killed on the spot, the other two succumbed to injuries at hospital.
The injured victims have been identified as Sinam Oken (48) s/o late Ibobi, his son Sinam Aboi, Ksh Priyobarta (21) s/o Khomdon, Mutum Apik (26) s/o Subol, Tonjam Romeo (21) s/o Muhindo, Lisham Naocha (26) s/o Ibocha and Mutum Roben (32) s/o Ibobi.
They too belong to Kiyam Siphai, Babu Keithel and they are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals at Imphal.
Oken and Aboi are father and son and their conditions are said to be critical.
Bodies of all the six deceased have been brought to JNIMS morgue while a case has been registered at Thoubal police station.
