Naga Women's Union (NWU), Manipur has appealed all Nagas to work together and shed "ill feelings and differences towards each other." NWU also called on women to take part in bringing a permanent solution to the Naga political issues for a common cause.

The union urged the Government of India to expedite the framework agreement signed with NSCN (IM) .
During the Assembly, Naga women leaders, representing various Naga tribes in Manipur raised their voice against the three Bills passed in the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31.They denounced tribal legislators for failing to protect and defend the rights and the land of the people.
NWU emphasized on the need to strengthen women organizations and to reach out to the "unreached for better relationship with other communities" .
"In time of conflict of any nature it is the women who are most affected.
Women are for peace and as a gesture of our support for peace women should play a vital role to face the challenges and address the issues confronting our society through peaceful means', said NWU.
