Curfew imposed, RAF rushed to Moreh

Tengnoupal district magistrate has declared that no activity can be taken up in the district particularly in Moreh area without permission.
A decision in this regard was arrived at during a meeting organised by 5 Assam Rifles at its IB on Tuesday.
The district magistrate imposed full curfew in the border town from Tuesday morning after learning that a cleanliness drive would be carried out at the community variety market in Moreh Ward no 8, which had been previously burned down by armed Kukis.
Personnel of special commandos, commandos, police, Assam Rifles and BSF are on duty to prevent any unwanted incidents.
On Tuesday from around 10.30 am till 11.30 am, Tengnoupal district magistrate Krishna Kumar chaired a meeting with top officials of Tengnoupal district police, 5 AR CO and representatives of Hill Tribal Council Moreh, Manipuri Muslim Council Moreh, Tamil Sangam Moreh and Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal district at the IB of 5 AR Moreh wherein it was decided that no work can be carried out in areas which were burned down during the conflict, without the permission of the district magistrate.
The burned down areas are currently part of an inquiry being conducted by the government and as such, no activity can be carried out in the areas without the government's permission.
On the other hand, teams Rapid Action Force (RAF) bus along with 10 trucks were rushed to Moreh on Tuesday evening.
